Amritsar, April 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – H.E. Mr. Karel Schwarzenberg, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic to India and the delegation visited the Guru Nanak Dev University and interacted with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.S. Brar faculty members and officials of the University in the Vice Chancellor s secretariat. On reaching the campus Prof. Brar welcomed the delegation and appraised them about the achievement of the University. The Czech delegation was here to explore the possibility of collaborative research between GND University and the academic fraternity of the Czech Republic in the fields of science & technology. The two sides discussed and a process was initiated so as to zero-in on the specific areas where exchange programme and collaboration can begin. Delegation was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Milan Hovorka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Crech Republic, New Delhi, Mr. Pavel Holik, Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Leo Luzar, Chairman of the Subcommittee for External Economic Relations, Mr. Karel Rais, Chairman of the Subcommittee for Development Cooperation, Mr. Zuzana Putnarova, Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Roman Masarik, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Crech Republic in New Delhi and Mrs. Silvie Ginterova, Interpreter.
