BBK DAV college players make a mark in International Weight Lifting Championship

Amritsar, May 17 (Punjab Potst Bureau)  – Three Weight Lifters of BBK DAV College participated in Third Senior International Weight Lifting Championship (state) held at Phagwara. Ms. Navjot won gold medal in 48 kg weight category. Ms. Manpreet and Ms. Manpreet won silver medals in 63 kg and 75 kg weight categories respectively and also won a cash prize of Rs. 13000/-. College players put up a splendid show by defeating the team of Jalandhar, Phagwara, Patiala, Sangrur, Tarn Taran and Hoshiarpur. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia felicitated the winners and motivated them to maintain a great performance in the future as well. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, congratulated the players on their achievements.
