DAV Public Bags Top Positions in Karate

 Amritsar, 19 May (Punjab Post Bureau)- DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar bagged Top Positions in Inter Club Karate Championship and Training Camp – 2014 held at K.D. International School, Tarn Taran. The following students bagged medals in the Championship : In 35 Kg wt. category-  Abhav Bansal of Std V won Bronze Medal.In 40 Kg wt. category -Anay Gharania of Std VI , Dhruv Bhandari of  Std V  won Silver Medal and Ratika Kapoor Std IX won Bronze Medal. In 45 Kg wt. category- Madhur Sharma of Std V won Gold Medal , Shehnaaz Preet Kaur of Std IX  won  Silver medal and Anmol Kaur of Std IX won Bronze Medal. In 50 Kg wt. category- Akarshit Kad of Std VI won Gold Medal , Parisha Mehra of Std IX won Silver Medal and Swayam of Std VI won Bronze Medal.In 55 Kg wt. category – Namash Sharma of Std VII and Ritik Sharma of Std VIII won Silver Medal. In 70 Kg wt. category- Rishab Mehra of Std VIII won silver medal. In 75 Kg wt. category-Rakshit Chopra  of Std X won Gold Medal. Rakshit Chopra of Std X also won Gold Medal in KATA. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs. ) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school  Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College Hathi Gate , Amritsar congratulated  the students for their fabulous performance. They blessed them for their future endeavors. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school applauded the efforts of the students . She said that it was important to take part in games also along with academics for the overall development. She added that the students must explore new avenues and excel in them.
