Amritsar, July 28 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road presented a special programme to observe Nature Conservation Day. Holding meticulously prepared props , they recited poems and read out articles highlighting the importance and need to conserve nature and protect mother earth. They made the audience aware of the dangers posed to our environment through our activities which we need to stop at once. Raising slogans , they pledged to do their part to save nature and spread awareness about the same.
Regional Director , Punjab Zone – A , Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar in their message to the students said that the greed of man has resulted in climate degradation and misuse of natural resources . They added that we need to strengthen ourselves to save our planet.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school while addressing the students said that our priority today should be changing our ways to meet the requirement by employing eco – friendly ways. She urged that we must embrace the responsibility to improve and save our planet.
