SERB National Post-Doctoral Fellowship awarded to GNDU Scholar

 Amritsar, August 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Dr. Manish Kumar, Ph.D. from the Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences of Guru Nanak Dev University, has been awarded with the prestigious Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) National Post-Doctoral Fellowship for two years at Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Satwinderjeet Kaur, Professor & Head of the Department said that the award has been conferred by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Dr. Kumar has completed his Ph.D and M.Phil. under the mentorship of Dr. Satwinderjeet Kaur, Prof. & Head, Botanical and Environmental Sciences. He has presented his research work at various national and international conferences and has also published 19 research papers/book chapters in the journals of international repute. Under this award, Dr. Kumar will be working on the cancer chemopreventive potential of phytochemicals in targeting the aberrant oncogenic signalling pathways under the mentorship of Prof. S. Nagini, Annamalai University.
