BBK DAV College Lifts Runners-Up Trophty in International Minjar Fair Tournament

Amritsar, Aug. 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Hockey players of BBK DAV College for Women won the runners-up position and a cash prize of Rupees 5000/- in International Minjar Fair Tournament held at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. The players won the position by defeating Chamba with score of 4-0 and Delhi with score 1-0. In the final match, the college players beat Meerut with score 1-0. Players Kirandeep Kaur, Ramandeep, Jasreet, Amandeep, Veero, Lakshmi, Shashi, Arpanpreet, Navjit Kaur, Navjot Kaur, Pallavi, Rajwinder Kaur, Baljit Kaur, Kuljit Kaur and Simranjeet Kaur participated in the match. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports.  Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
