Amritsar, 27 August (Punjab Post Bureau) – In yet another effort to reach to the Veterans 142nd Defence Pension Adalat Camp was held on 27 Aug 2016 at Tarn Taran. Teams from the Defence Pension Disbursement Office (DPDO), Banks and Pension Controller Defence Accounts (PCDA) Allahabad alongwith the Pension Sanctioning Authorities from Army, Air Force and Navy were present to address pension grievances of the veterans. A large number of defence pensioners alongwith their dependents attended the Pension Camp.
The officials of the pension department registered all the queries and problems being faced by the pensioners. In addition a medical camp and CSD counter was organized for the welfare of esteemed veterans during the event by Golden Arrow Division. Maj Gen Vijay Pingale, General Officer Commanding Golden Arrow Division graced the occasion with his presence. In addition, civil dignitaries like Shri SK Kohli, IDAS Controller General Defence Accounts (CGDA), New Delhi, Shri Kamaldeep Singh, IDAS (Pension Disbursment) Meerut, Shri RS Rana, IDAS, PCDA (Pension) and Shri Rakesh Sehgal, IDAS PCDA (Western Command) were also present. The veterans expressed their gratitude to Army and Civil departments for holding such an Adalat and were highly satisfied by the way their queries and grievances were attended to.
