230 GNDU students selected for Jobs by TCS

Amritsar, Sept. 12, 2016 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  230 students of Guru Nanak Dev University have been placed with World Renowned Indian Multinational IT Company – TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES (TCS).

The present 230 students selected are from Batch 2017 of B. Tech.–Computer Science, B. Tech.–Electronics, MCA, M. Tech. -IT and M. Tech–CS from all the campuses of GNDU. A strong team of 70 members of TCS visited GNDU University campus for recruitment from 5^th to 8^th September, 2016. The recruitment process included online test followed by Technical, HR and MR Interviews. The selected students have been offered 3.30 L.P.A and the new recruits will join with TCS in June 2017.

Dr. Palwinder Singh, Prof. Incharge Placements said that many companies are going to visit GND University for further campus placements of batch 2017, which include Capgemini, Tech Mahindra,  Infogain, Nagarro, Amdocs etc. Capgemini and Infogain are visiting on 15^th and 17^th September respectively. Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer added that about 830 students of Batch 2016 from different courses have already been placed in various multinational companies till 31^st August, 2016.

All the placed students are working hard for successful placements of their other classmates by doing volunteering during recruitment drives. Active participation of students, academic input by able faculty and infrastructure input by Department of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Technology Department and Electronics Technology of the university are the main reason for these quality placements.
