Workshop on Framing Frames 2016: The basics of Still Photography held at DAV College Amritsar

Amritsar, Sept. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  A two day workshop “Framing frames” 2016 was organized by the Department of Mass Communication and Video Production, DAV College Amritsar. The main aim behind organizing such workshops is to help amateurs to learn technicalities involved in the field of Photography.  Jatinder Singh Jabbal, a prominent Cinematographer was the key resource person during the event and Harneek Aulakh, a renowned theatre artist was Guest of Honor during the event. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar along with Prof Arif Nazir, Head Department of MCVP gave a floral welcome and memento to the guests.

 Speaking on the Occasion, Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar said that such intellectual workshops help in developing overall personality of students. He also added that such kinds of platforms helps students in getting hand on training to experience different modes cameras. He also congratulated sincere efforts of the department for organizing such practicums. Speaking on occasion, Prof Arif Nazir, Head Department of MCVP said that the department always strives hard to provide best practical and theoretical knowledge to students. He also added that we also try to bring prominent professionals to our college to help our students experience best knowledge in every field.

The workshop hosted a series of practical sessions. During First session, Presentation regarding Basics of Still Photography was shown to students.  He also explained various concepts like Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO with their knowledge based sessions.  During Second Session, he explained the usage of lights in photography with practical demonstrations. Prof Sania Arora, Prof Saurav Sharma, Prof Vani Sharma, Prof Saundarya Kochar, Prof Roohi Sharma and Prof Ferry Bhatia were also present during the workshop.
