BBK DAV College wins Overall Trophy in Red Cross Camp at Fatehgarh Sahib

Amritsar, October 14 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Red Cross Unit of BBK DAV College for Women won overall trophy in a camp organized at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib on the occasion of Bhai Ghaniya Diwas. The camp was organized by Punjab State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh. During the camp, various competitions such as Poetry Recitation, Quiz, Declamation, Folk Song, Slogan Writing were organized. Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna, Vice Chairman, Red Cross Society, Punjab was the Chief Guest for the competitions.

A team of 16 students from the college participated in various competitions and bagged first prize in First Aid & Group Song, second prize in Quiz & Poetry Recitation and third prize in Declamation, Folk Song and Slogan Writing. Students also participated in a rally on drug abuse, female foeticide and various other social evils in the society. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the winners and motivated them to be the agents of change in transforming the society. Assistant Professors Mrs. Harpreet Aneja & Ms. Isha Khanna accompanied the student for the camp.
