Global Football League 2016 kick started at Global Institutes

Amritsar, October 22 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The 1st Global Football League 2016 kick started at the Football Ground of Global Institutes today. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. B. S Chandi Chairman Global Institutes at a colorful Ceremony by releasing the Tournament plaque which was carried up in the sky by multi colored balloons.

Dr. Singh, in his inaugural speech, said that such Tournaments create a platform for young players to show case their talents in sports. He also encouraged the students to take part in other outdoor activities so as to maintain their physical fitness. In the knock out tournaments a total of 8 teams from different Departments participated.

B.Tech Mechanical Captain Arun Sharma, B.Tech ECE+IT Captain Rizwan, B.Tech CSE  Captain Ashish, B.Tech Civil Captain Sukhbir Singh, Polytechnic Diplomas Captain Jaskirat Singh, In the first half of the day, the Four matches were played and in the second half 2 Semi Finals and the final match was played between the teams. The inaugural match was played between. Dr. Akashdeep Singh Vice Chairman Global Institutes distributed the prizes to the winning team and the runners up team. While addressing the teams, Dr. Akashdeep Singh observed that education philosophy of Global Institutes gives due emphasis to academics, sports, co-curricular and extra–curricular activities so that the students develop an all round personality. The Institute has first class sports infrastructure for all first class sports infrastructure for all the major games so that they learn those outdoor skills which go a long way to mould their personality.
