BBK DAV College organises Food Science Contest

Amritsar, November 1 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Department of Botany, BBK DAV College for Women organized a UGC sponsored Food Science Contest based on green technology. The theme of the contest was to save fuel and electricity. Mrs. Madhumita Singh, wife of Mr. Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, I.G. Border Range was the Chief Guest for the event. More than 48 teams from various colleges participated in the contest.

Srishty and Sangeet of B.Sc. Medical Semester-III won 1^st prize, Simranpreet and Neha of B.Sc. Biotech Semester-III won 2^nd prize, Tamanna and Ketika Bhardwaj of B.Sc. Medical Semester V bagged 3^rd prize. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia appreciated the efforts of the department for organizing the contest. She said that such contests imbibe healthy competitive spirit amongst the students. Chief Guest Mrs. Madhumita Singh and Mrs. Rasmi Kalia, Head, Department of Botany, congratulated the winners and motivated them to save energy.
