Amritsar, 30 May (Punjab Post Bureau)- To felicitate the outstanding achievement of the proud achievers of class XII CBSE Board Exams, 2014,the school organized a Prize Distribution Function on 30th May, 2014 in the school auditorium. Dr. Santokh Singh, Vice President, CKDCS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and S. Narinder Singh Khurana Hony. Secy. CKDCS was the Guest of Honour. The programme started with the Shabad to seek the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a Welcome Dance, Kathak by the girls of class XI. A wonderful dance performance presented by the teachers mesmerized the audience. Principal/ Director Dr. Dharam Veer Singh put on record his sincere appreciation for the students who worked untiringly day and night to make their school and parents proud. It was a glorious moment for the top scorers who were honoured with mementos and certificates. While the Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the jubilant students, their ecstatic parents looked on proudly. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated them on their outstanding performance. Out of 267 students who appeared in class XII Board Exams 50 students got 90 % and above marks, 49 students got 85-89 % marks. Gurkiran Kaur topped the school and the city in commerce stream with 97 % marks. Divjot Kaur topped the medical stream in the city with 95.2 % marks. The programme was attended by S.
