Nagar Kirtan organized on second day of 66th World Sikh Educational Conference

Amritsar, November 5 (Punjab Post Bureau)- In the context of the 66^th World Sikh Educational Conference, the 2^nd day of this glorious event began with the spiritual ecstacy. Kirtan ‘Asa Di Vaar’ was performed at Gurudwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib which engulfed the sangat into a deep mystic self transcendence. The spotlight of the day was the grand ceremonial proceeding of the Nagar Kirtan headed by Charanjit Singh Chadha President, Dhanraj Singh Vice President, Inderpreet Singh Chadha Vice President, Nirmal Singh Resident President Narinder Singh Khurana Hony. Secy. Harminder Singh Member Incharge/Addl. Secy, Jaswinder Singh Dhillon Hony. Secy., Santokh Singh Sethi Hony. Addl. Secy. Dr. Dharamveer Singh Managing Director, Jaswinder Singh Advocate, Kuljit Singh and other member Incharge It started from Sri Guru Harkrishan International School, Ranjit Avenue D-Block. To mark the beginning of the Nagar Kirtan Singh Sahib Gaini Jagtar Singh Ji, Head Granthi Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji performed a special ArdaWhile the nagar Kirtan passed enroute H.K. 52, Lawernce Road, Mall Road, Income Tax Chowk, Rialto Chowk to Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School G.T.  Road School. On the way a warm welcome was given by the eminent personalities  Mayor Sh. Bakshi Ram Arora, Chairman Improvement Trust Sh. Suresh Mahajan and other officers of Municipal Corporation and Improvement Trust., D.A.V Public School, Green Avenue Association and other organisationA warm welcome was extended by  Chadha family and staff members of   H K 52 where stalls of refreshment was put up. About 10000 students from various CKD Schools participated in this devotional Nagar Kirtan.  The whole atmosphere was filled with aura of spirituality and Bhagti Ras enthralling the Sangat.

With great obeisance and religious fervor, the ceremony of hoisting the pious Nishan Sahib was conducted In CKD CampuAkal Purakh ki Fauj showing a dutiful spirit of reverence gave a grand salute to the Sanctified Nishan Sahib under the supervision of Jaswinder Singh Advocate and Kuljit Singh. Langar was served to everyone.  The winners of various competitions like martial Arts, Dastar Bandi, Mr. Singh were awarded certificates and medals by CKD management.  Demo Lessons by subject experts were delivered under the programme Educators Enterprising Teaching Skills 2016. A Light and Sound show “Vaho Pargtyo Mard Agamra ” dedicated to the 350^th Birth Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji under the direction of Narinder Sanghi was staged which was applauded by all. A meeting was held during the conference to discuss new projects for the further development of the CKD. The eminent personalities present on the occasion were Harjit Singh Chadha, Pritpal Singh from Mumbai, Ravinder Singh, Dr. Suba Singh, Kuljit Singh, Bharpur Singh, Gurinder Singh Chawla, Navtej Singh and other  members of management.
