Dr. Raghbir Singh appointed Dean Academics of Khalsa University

Amritsar, Dec 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A well known Professor of Commerce and Business and former Dean Academics, GNDU, Dr. Raghbir Singh, was today appointed as Dean, Academics, Khalsa University, Amritsar. Having 40 years of vast experience in teaching and as an administrator, Dr. Raghbir Singh recently retired as Dean and had also served as an officiating Registrar of the GNDU 2009. He joined office in presence of Khalsa University vice chancellor Dr.SS Chahal and Registrar Dr. JS Dhillon. Dr. Singh has various books and research articles to his credit as an author. He is holder of prestigious Fellowships and Scholarships and his administrative experience and is an alumni of Punjab University, Chandigarh and Delhi University. His experience will help the varsity to frame new syllabus and rules of academics, said Dr. Chahal. Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary and pro-chancellor of the varsity Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina along with VC congratulated him on joining the duty and expected that his vast experience will help the university to march ahead on the path of research and studies. Dr. Singh said he was happy to be associated with the historic society. He said his primary duty will be to set up the faculty, frame rules and regulations and syllabi and help give impetus to the research in various faculties of the University. He is widely travelled man and said that his priority will also be to initiate tie ups with various universities of the world.
