Amritsar, December 6 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Archery Recurve team of BBK DAV College for Women has won GNDU Inter-College Archery Recurve Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College team gave a splendid show by defeating GNDU Campus, Amritsar, HMV College, Jalandhar and Khalsa College, Amritsar.
Two players of the college Ms. Rajinder Kaur & Ms. Laxmi Devi got selected for All India Intervarsity Championship to be held at Vijaywada (AP) in February 2017. Members of the team who participated in the championship were Ms. Rajinder Kaur, Laxmi Devi and Harpreet Kaur. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chariman, Local Managing Committee, Prof. Satinder Singh, Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar & Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
