Amritsar, December 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The Local Government department has allowed the persons in possession of Municipal properties where they have been residing by making houses thereupon for the last 20 years or more to apply within three months for ownership rights with the payment of nominal charges as detailed in the table below
(a) in the case of Municipal Corporations:

Disclosing this here today Sh. Anil Joshi, Local Government Minister has stated that with this one time policy released by the department on 14.12.16 with the notification issued under The Punjab Municipality ( Vesting of Proprietary Rights) Scheme 2016, the public at large will be relieved of the problems faced by them over the years and even if these people have no lease deeds or rent receipts etc. with them, such rights will be allowed in their favour.
