Thinly attended AAP mini show second flop show of the party in Majha – Bikram Majitha

Amritsar, December 30 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Punjab Revenue minister today termed the thinly attended mini road show conducted by AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and ‘scapegoat’candidate Himmat Shergill today as the second flop show in the Majha belt whose repercussions would wipe out the party at the hustings in the region.

Reacting to the thinly attended road show, Mr Majithia said like the earlier so called “Majha Fateh rally” of the party, this time also AAP was forced to bring outsiders to Majitha to save itself from utter humiliation. “But the number plates of the vehicles got from outside the constituency and even the State prove that the people of Majha are boycotting AAP completely. He said the truth of the matter was that the brave people of Majha were girding up there loins to teach a lesson to AAP. He said AAP had not only backstabbed the State and its people on the SYL issue but had also hurt the religious sentiments of the people by comparing a party manifesto with the Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji as well as posting a picture of the broom along with that of the Harmandar Sahib.

The Akali leader said the extent of the boycott being faced by AAP could also be gauged from the fact that the management, Mukh sewadar and devotees of the historic Guru ki Ber Gurdwara refused to give a “siropa” to Kejriwal and Shergill. He said this was not all. “Villagers boycotted the AAP road show and there was no one to greet the AAP chief during his round of villages in the constituency. This shows AAP, which is now referred to as PAAP party due to rampant corruption in distribution of tickets to criminal elements as well as immoral activities being done by its leaders, has no support base in the Majha region”.  Mr Kejriwal said now that Kejriwal had come to know the state of his party as well as his scapegoat candidate he should step forward and contest himself from Majitha himself. “That would be a true barometer of your popularity. I don’t understand why you are frightened by the prospect of contesting yourself and fielding proxies who have no interest in contesting by force. But do what you may. The result will be the same as the people of Majha have decided to boycott your anti- Punjab party completely in the forthcoming elections”, he added.
