Brick Kiln Owners Association Extends Support to Chhina

Amritsar, January 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Amritsar Brick Kiln Owners Association (ABKOA) today extended unconditional support to Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP joint candidate Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina contesting Amritsar Lok Sabha by-election. The association members said that as Chhina was one of amongst them they feel that he would address their grievances better if he is elected as member of the parliament. The Association’s general body meeting gave full fledged support to Chhina and honoured him.

Chhina who addressed the association members said that he understands the problems faced by the brickiln owners and he would fight for their rights. He also stated that establishing the agro-based industry in the whole region is also his priority and he will fight for the investment by the industry so that employment generation is facilitated. He said the traditional trade and commerce route of the `holy city’ needed to be revived.

Association’s president Anil Aggarwal, general secretary Ashish Bhalla, Patron Inderjit Verma, Chairman Satpal Singh spoke on the occasion and reiterated their whole hearted support to Chhina. All India Brick and Tiles Manufacturers Association Chief Arvinder Singh Chamak was also present and he said that Chhina was the right person to be sent to parliament and hoped that Chhina would raise their genuine demands at the right platform. Chhina said he was aware of the challenges and the problems being faced by brick kiln industries.On the other hand Chhina addressed various election meeting at Attari, Sehensara, Rajasansi, Basarke, East Mohan Nagar, Prem Nagar, Ranjit Avenue in rural and urban areas meanwhile rolled out his agenda for the development works to be undertaken once he is elected as Lok Sabha MP. He said his priority was agro based industry in the border region, and putting the holy city on the international map of tourism and commerce. He said the strengthening of the basic infrastructure was also on his agenda.
