Jandiala guru, February (Punjab Post- Harinder pal singh) – a Seminar on “Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology” was organized in Shri Sai group of institutes Manawala. The Rise of new tech opportunity seminar was conducted by “Project Moneyframes: A Blockchain venture”. Chairman Er. S.K Punj, Esteemed MD Smt. Tripta Punj, Respected JMD Ms. Anubha Punj and Campus Director SSGI Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Dr. Sanjay Bahl Welcomed Mr. Sunil Aggarwal the keynote speaker for this seminar. More than 100 students of MBA, BBA, BCA, MCA, B.Sc IT, B.Tech CSE/IT and M.Tech CSE participated in the seminar along with the faculty members of Management and Computer Applications.
Mr. Sunil Aggarwal threw light on the facts that many projects and companies are looking at ways to use the Bitcoin blockchain or other public or private distributed ledgers, to record an immutable timestamped public record that can be independently verified by any stakeholder.
He further explained that Blockchain technology is an emerging technology suitable for decentralized and transactional sharing of data across a large network of untrusted participants. By using this technology one can maintain continuously-growing list of records called blocks and link them in a distributed manner (Blockchain), potentially in such a way that these are secured against tampering. Blockchain is maintained as distributed database of records of transactions (Distributed Ledger) that are shared among participants. This technology uses cryptographic algorithms to validate the logged transactions and ensures that no record is duplicated and also permanent records are updated on each node of the network. This technology allows new type of distributed software architecture where components can establish trust by finding concurrence on their shared states. Blockchain have good potential to transform the logging and management of transactions in different application areas. This technology is successfully used in Bitcoin digital currency and it also has good potential in non-financial sectors such as Governance, healthcare, cyber security, automobiles, media, travel, hospitality, energy, smart cities etc. Students ask question regarding the Bitcoin technology from the expert so it was a very brainstorming session. At the end of the session he also explained how to use Bitcoin and 200 bitcoins to each participant.
