Slogan Writing Competition held at DAV College

Amritsar, March 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  To assess and develop problem solving skills of students, Department of English, DAV College organized a “Slogan writing Competition” for the students of all streams. 202 students from different classes enthusiastically participated in the event. The event was conducted by students of the college.

Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar congratulated Prof Sunil Sachdeva Head Department of English and other faculty members for organizing such events as such events develop the qualities in students which are helpful in prospective placements.  While speaking on the occasion, he congratulated the students for their efforts to participate and for showing their best performances. He suggested them to take part in such activities as such activities are quite helpful in overall development of their personality.

While speaking on occasion, Prof. Sunil Sachdeva, Head Department of English said that the department always tries hard to do best for students and department is organizing such intellectual activities on regular basis as such activities are quite helpful in polishing communication skills of students which are quite helpful for them in future.

The competition was held in two rounds. During first round students were provided with set of different words on which they have to write slogans of maximum 8 words. In second round, they have to write slogans of 16 words. At end, the evaluation of the activity was done on the basis of overall comprehensive response and use of meaningful and Catchy language within the given word limit.
