GNDU honored its Student Artists

Amritsar, March 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Guru Nanak Dev University has honored its Students-artists here today in a special Award Ceremony. These students brought laurels to the University in Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival & Inter-University National Youth Festival. PPN2103201728This programme was organized by Youth Welfare Department of the University in the Dasmesh Auditorium. Prof. A.S. Brar, Vice-Chancellor presided over and Prof. N.S. Tung, Dean Academic Affairs was the guest of honor. They honoured 36 students who won positions in these Youth Festivals with medal and certificates. The coaches, teachers and their Principals were also honoured on this occasion.  Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare welcomed the guests and students.Student artists also performed of some of winner items of these festivals.    Student-artists includes Komal Kausuil, Sanjay Kumar, Gurvinder Singh, Satwinder Pal Singh, Vibha Sharma, Shivangi, Neha Makin, Richa, Jyoti Sharma, Supreet Kaur, Tanvi, Sham Singh, Sabdil, Rajdeep Singh, Jeewan Thaper, Navjot Singh, Karan, Rajinder Nath, Mannat J.S., Ennayat Sidana, Vijayta Gill, Pragati Bhatia, Saloni Arora, Rhythm Sharma, Chandana, Kritika Khanna, Paras Oberoi, Jaspinder Singh, Dharamjit Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Samreet Kaur, Abhishek Narula, Markas, Akshdeep Singh, Sawan Singh, Shruti Dhawan were honored on this occasion. After honoring ceremony, Prof. Brar congratulated the student-artists and their mentors. He said that cultural activities are essential alongwith formal studies for the overall development of the personality. Prof. Tung said that student-artists should work hard to excel in next youth fests. Dr. Jagjit Kaur gave the details of the achievement of the department on this occasion.
