Honourable Deputy High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia visited GNDU

Amritsar, 26 April  (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Guru Ramdas School of Planning of Guru Nanak Dev University organized a special guest lecture by Mr Sikapale Henry Chinzewe, the Honourable Deputy High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia. Mr Chinzewe spoke on Urbanization, a Juggernaut in National Development and Planning: The Case of Zambia. In his talk, he mentioned about positive and negative effects of urbanization in Zambia.He talked about various challenges of Urbanization. He also mentioned about similarities between Zambia and India.He shared his knowledge about Africa and his experience in India from last four years. This was followed by a lively interaction wherein the Deputy High Commissioner responded to the queries of the staff and students from the School of Planning. Ms. Kiran Sandhu, HOD, welcomed Mr Sikapale Chinzewe, saying that such an interaction would open avenues for more academic interaction between institutions in the two countries. Dr. Ashwani Luthra showed presentation on Guru Ram Das School of Planning .The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Kuldip Singh for giving an illustrious insight on Zambia. Mr. K.S. Sandhu Honoured the guest with token  from Guru Ram Das School of Planning.
