4th State Exhibition of Art- 2017 to remain open for public till May 15

Amritsar, May 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Chairman Art Galary Mohinderjit Singh and Harish Srivastva President Wisdom Art Society New Delhi Inaugurated 4^th State Exhibition of Art- 2017 at Art Galry. Awards Function was presided over by IAFA president Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina. He congratulated the participating artists and encouraged the people of Punjab to come forward and take full interest in art works. Dr. P.S. Grover Hon. Gen. secretary explained the IAFA art activities. Shivdev Singh convener raised the curtains of the exhibition.

The Selection committee comprising reputed artists Sukhpal Singh,  Atul Mehra, Dharminder Sharma and Kulwant Singh Gill selected 236 from 350 art works of 180 Artists for display. Exhibition committee comprising Dharminder Sharma, Atul Mehra, Ravinder Dhillon and Kawal Sehgal Displayed the work. A beautiful catalogue with photographs has been published as en everlasting memory for the participating artists and art lovers & for IAFA records, by the Catalogue committee comprising Dr. A.S Chamak, Shivdev Singh, Narinder Singh and Sukhpal Singh. Jury was comprised of A renowned sculptor O.P Verma, Painter Artist from New Delhi Ms. Harjit Dhillon, A seasoned Photo Artist Dr. Shantnu Malhotra and Convener & Vice President IAFA  Shivdev Singh

            Special Invitees to display their art works in the exhibition were Dr. P.S Grover (Photography), Dr. Gopal Karodiwal (Painting), Atul Mehra (Portrait), Sukhpal Singh (Abstract Painting). A very entertaining and educative program was presented by Dr. A.S Chamak. A documentary film on the life and art work of S.G Thakur Singh prepared by IAFA was also shown to the audience.
