Guru Nanak Dev University announced its admission schedule

Amritsar, May 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Guru Nanak Dev University announced the admission schedule for academic year 2017-18 for admissions in various courses being run in the University main campus, Regional Campuses and University Colleges. The process for online submission of application form will start from May 22, 2017.  Application fee has to be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India or through any online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Netbanking).

Dr. Subodh Kumar, Dean Academic Affairs said that for B.Tech. Courses at University Campus (except B.Tech. Urban & Regional Planning), admission will be made on the basis of All India Rank of JEE (Main)-2017. Counseling will be conducted by the University and counseling schedule will be uploaded on University website in due course of time. Application for admission shall be submitted only online along with the counseling fee of Rs. 2000/- after the admission schedule is uploaded on University admission website www.gnduadmissions.org.

He said that for B.Tech. Courses at University Regional Campuses, admission will be made individually by the Associate Dean/O.S.D. of the concerned Regional Campus at their own level on the basis of inter-se merit of aggregate marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English of Senior Secondary Examination (12^th Grade) with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST).

Admission to M.B.A.(Two Years) course (GNDU Main Campus, GNDU R.C. Gurdaspur and GNDU College, Jalandhar) shall be based on GMET to be conducted by University Business School. Admission to all Masters level courses will be made on the basis of Entrance Test except M.A. (Education)/M.Ed./P.G. Diploma in Translation/P.G. Diploma in Mental Health Counseling. Admission to all Bachelors level courses will be made on the basis of merit of Senior Secondary Examination (12^th Grade). Admission to B.Architecture course will be made by the Head, Department of Architecture on the basis of combined merit of NATA score and qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. Application for admission shall be submitted only online along with the counseling fee of Rs. 2000/- after the admission schedule is uploaded on University admissions website www.gnduadmissions.org.

He said that for LL.B., B.A.LL.B.(FYIC) courses, admission will be made as per notification issued by Punjab Govt. Admission to all the courses at University Regional Campuses, Gurdaspur (except MBA), Sathiala, Fattu Dhinga and Jalandhar (for M.Tech.CSE/ECE courses) will be made at their own level with last date of submission of application form: June 9,2017 for B.Tech and July 7,2017 for M.Tech./MCA/MBA. Admission to all the courses at University College, Jalandhar {(except MBA(Two Years)/MCA(TYC)} and ASSM College, Mukandpur will be made by the Principals of the Colleges at their own level (see college Prospectus). For Entrance Test dates and other details, University Prospectus (admission schedule) must be downloaded from University website (www.gndu.ac.in) & www.gnduadmissions.org).

            All applications shall be submitted online only through main website of the University (www.gndu.ac.in) or www.gnduadmissions.org. Each application form shall be submitted online with an application fee of Rs. 1200/-. (for General Category) and (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST Category). However, for B.Tech. courses (except B.Tech.URP) the one time counseling fee will be Rs. 2000/-.
