Dr. Daljit’s services to historic Khalsa College recalled
Amritsar, June 30 ( Dharminder Rataul)- Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) today gave a warm send off to Dr.Daljit Singh who has retired as Principal of Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA). His services to the historic institution were recalled by the office bearers and the members of the Council as he was honoured with memento during the farewell party organized in his honour. KCGC vice president Charanjit Singh Chadha, honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina said Dr.Dalji who is renowned educationist and administrator had taken the KCA to the new heights during his nine years of tenure. Chadha who presided over the valedictory function said he had been assets and they would like him to be associated with any of their institution even after retirement as he wished for him best for the next assignments. Chhina said that Dr.Daljit’s services to the institution would be remembered for all the days to come. He said Dr.Daljit had always been known for his disciplinarian traits and was an honest and person of integrity. He said they were so overwhelmed that they broke the precedent and decided to organize the farewell party for Dr.Daljit to recognize his services to the institution. KCGC finance secretary Gunbir Singh, SS Abdal, SS Sethi, Dr.Santokh Singh, SS Chhina, Sarbjit Singh, Principal Dr.JS Dhillon, Principal Dr.SK Mahal, Principal Tejinder Bindra also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Daljit meanwhile said that he was thankful to the management for providing him the opportunity to serve this great institution and he tried to do his best. He said he was also associated with the Sikh’s highest temporal seat Akal Takht as a member of its advisory committee and framed the draft of Sikh Marriage Act for which he was proud of.
