Amritsar, Sept. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Mr. Peter Singh Virdi Chief Khalsa Diwan honored today, an embodiment
of Sikh faith in UK, Mr. Peter Singh Virdi in Chief Khalsa Diwan Gurudwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib. While extending a warm welcome to the resident of England Prof. Peter Singh Virdi, Chief Khalsa Diwan President Charanjit Singh Chadha said that it a matter of great privilege for Chief Khalsa Diwan to honour such an efficient, successful and dedicated Sabat Surat International Sikh entrepreneur who always stays connected to his roots while following Sikh principles and maryada. He further said that Virdi foundation set up by him in UK aims to escort needy poor people who are suffering from physically and mentally illness. Moreover He is the first Sikh to be a board member of the English National Opera, and is also on the board of philanthropy for Coutts & Co. Such a philanthropy personality is the role model for youth. Chadha also expressed gratitude to Mr. Virdi for the financial contributions worth Rs. 11 lac made by him to Chief Khalsa Diwan in 2012 during Education Conference. At last, honoring ceremony culminated with the words of Mr. Peter Singh Virdi who thanked for the respect and honour extended to him by CKD. He also appreciated the upgrading graph of CKD development, achievements and prosperity. He invited Chief Khalsa Diwan to organize World Sikh Education Conference at UK in 2020
