D.A.V Public School Celebrates ATL Community Day

Amritsar, Apr. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the NITI Aayog directive Atal Tinkering Lab at D.A.V Public School Lawrence Road celebrated ATL-COMMUNITY DAY on the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s with the theme of promoting EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL & STEAM-Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts& Mathematics for Girl Students. Students & faculty from surrounding government and police schools were exposed to a  ‘four hour tinkering session’ under the guidance of  Resham Sharma (ATL in charge), which included hand on demo and training for the 3-D printer (Flashforge Creator PRO- Dual Extruder), Robotics, IoT and individual Arduino Working. All community members actively participated in various ice breaker/Warm up Tinkering activities and excelled in the Challenge- Ideation Contest. The winners were awarded with 3D printed trophies created by students in the lab. The entire event was a success with  the  efforts put in by the School’s Students Rishab Aggarwal (XII Science- President), Kuvam Devgan (XII Science- Vice President) & Executive Board Members: Ribhav Khosla (XII Science), Rachit Aggarwal (X) Rachit Sharma  (XII Science) Viren SIngh (XII Science), Deepankur Shoor (IX)  and Vidisha Singh (Std–X). The entire event was covered by multimedia student and enthusiast  Saksham Muglani ! An amazing response from the community, for the community and by the community was the motto of the day. Principal Neera Sharma inaugurated the function and 3D printing facility and urged all students and teachers to churn out amazing innovations! Regional Director Punjab Zone–A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the students and the teachers for their diligent efforts and blessed them for their future endeavours.
