Rabindranath Tagore/Munshi Prem Chand enthralls and elates one and all
Amritsar, Jan. 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With the blessings of Padma Shree Dr.Punam Suri ji (President D.A.V CMC, New Delhi) and under the able guidance of the Principal Dr. Mrs. Neera Sharma ji, the 489 students of Std – V presented their Annual Function Kahaaniyan Bemisaal – Rabindranath Tagore/Munshi Premchand, at Urvi Auditoriumtoday in two groups of morning and evening shows.
The Chief Guest for Morning Show was Mr.Hemant Sharma PPS, DSP Central Jail, Amritsar and his better half Dr.Richa Agnihotri PPS, ACP Headquarters, Amritsar, was the Guest of Honour for the same. The Chief Guest for the Evening Show was Mr.Ravinder Singh Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amritsar.
The presentation offered a tribute to master story tellers, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and Munshi Premchand, and their stories that are the torch bearers of moral values and hold relevance even today in our modern lives. The children offered a colourful presentation of the theme, in the form of dramatics, song, dance and music all weaved together seamlessly and thoughtfully. The show was highly appreciated and applauded by everyone present.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone-A Dr (Mrs) Neelam Kamra, who was also the Guest of honour for evening show, praised this initiative by the young students and exhorted them to strive harder for excellence and imbibe good values for becoming model citizens of the future.The manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Principal D.A.V College Amritsar was highly pleased and satisfied by the show put up by the children and gave his blessings, and told them to focus on success and never be discouraged by small disappointments
Principal, Dr. Mrs. Neera Sharma thanked the elite gathering and appreciated the efforts of the students and the staff. She encouraged the children to pursue good education and moral values instead of being influenced by material gains in life.
