DAV Public School observes World Ozone Day

Amritsar, Sept 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road conducted a special assembly on World Ozone Day. This day was desinged by the United Nation General Assembly as the International Day for the Presevation of the Ozone Layer.

                The students of the school spoke about the importance of the Ozone Layer and the need to protect this fragile shield of gas which protects the earth from the harmful ultraviolet radiations. They emphasised that without Ozone Layer , life on earth will cease to exist. They sang songs, recited poems and enacted a role play on the same theme. Students took a pledge that they would respect their natural inheritance and be a good caretaker of their planet.

             Regional Officer Punjab Zone – a Dr.Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar sent their best wishes to students. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school addressed the students and highlighted the importance of the day and reminded them of their responsibility towards protecting and preventing the Ozone layer form depletion.
