E-Workshop by DAV College PG Department of Computer Science and IT 

Amritsar, June 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG Department of computer science and Information Technology under star college scheme of DBT organized an E-workshop on “Development of own MOOCs: A new norm of Education post COVID-19. A total of 70 staff members from various departments of the college attended this workshop. The resource person of the e-workshop was Dr. Prateek Bhatia, Associate Professor, Thapar Institue of Engg and Tech., Patiala.

                The workshop started with the importance of MOOC platform and how it can be used for development of online study material. Dr. Bhatia emphasized that MOOC is an effective online tool to upgrade your ICT skills for delivering quality education to the masses. He discussed in detail how online courses and video lectures using Adobe Presenter were created, which is the need of the hour in the current pandemic environment. At the end of the session, faculty members voiced their queries which were subsequently answered by the resource person.

                  Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar, putting forth his views about this workshop said that at the time of crisis, negative thoughts can surround one and to stay optimistic and trying to reach light is always essential. He also appreciated the efforts of Prof. Vikram Sharma, Head, PG Department of Computer Science and IT for successfully conducting this workshop.
