Shastri Indo Canadian Research Grant for GNDU

Amritsar, December 23 (        ) – Dr. Amritpal Kaur,  Associate Professor in Department of Food Science and Technology Guru Nanak Dev University have been awarded Shastri Institutional Collaborative Research Grant (SICRG) grant for the year 2020-21 by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. This grant is supported by funds from the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) Government of India. This award been given to scientist doing outstanding research work and have received recognition from national and international academics. Dr. Kaur will work in collaboration with McGill University, Canada for two years. Vice-chancellor, Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu faculty members and officials congratulated Dr. Kaur for her selection for this prestigious award. Dr Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi Coordinator Linkage Prograame has said it is an honor for the institution and faculty members to feel proud of her achievement. Dr. Bedi further encouraged the students, scholars and faculty members of the University to avail maximum benefits and support from the SICI, a non-profit organization. He said that Guru Nanak Dev University is one of the members of the said organization, which is engaged in improving quality of life of the people in Canada as well as in India by building and strengthening intellectual and cultural links through research, dialogue and exchange.
