DAV Public School Celebrates Teachers’ Day with Fervor

Amritsar, Sept 5 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road organised a special programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and educator ‘Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishanan’ and to express their gratitude to the teachers on the occasion of ‘Teachers’ Day’.

           The students put up a scintillating show for the teachers which included thanks giving poems, songs and dances. The teachers were engaged in many fun games, bringing childhood memories back. The students saluted the teachers for being great heroes who adapted to new teaching methods that are effective and inclusive in these challenging times and fulfilling their duties towards nation holding as Corona Warriors.

             On this occasion, 21 members of the teaching and non–teaching staff of the school were honoured by the Principal of the school Mrs. Anita Mehra for successfully completing 20 years of service.

            Speaking on the occasion Principal of the school said that a nation’s progress depends upon its education and teachers play an important role by building the character of students and shaping them to become an ideal citizen of the country. She congratulated the teachers and called them pillars of students’ success.

             Regional officers Punjab Zone – A Dr. Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Pushpinder Walia  sent their choicest blessings on this occasion for all the teachers.
