BBK DAV College wins GNDU Inter College Fencing Championship

Amritsar, Jan. 9 (Punjab Post) – The Fencing team of BBK DAV College for Women bags GNDU Inter College Fencing Championship held at GNDU Campus on January 5. The team secured 40 points and created a new record by being champions since last two decades. In this Championship HMV College Jalandhar secured runners up position and S.R. Govt College bagged secured second runners up position.  The College fencers won Gold Medals in foil event, Sabre event and Epee team event. In individual events, Mr. Parneet won Gold medal and Ms. Kirandeep won Bronze medal in Foil event. Four players of the college, Parneet, Rajbir, Kirandep and Anju Tandon have been selected for All India Intervarsity Fencing Championship Camp to be held at Patiala in the month of January, 2015. Principal of the college, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and HOD, Sports Department Mrs. Sweety Bala congratulated the students for their success.
