( Punjab Post Bureau)- CKD Institute of Management and Technology, a pioneer in the field of Management and Technology, organized Campus placement drive for MBA (4thsemester) students. A renowned Telecom CompanyVideocon Telecom known for high technology and quality, Visited the college campus with job openings forthe MBA students. The process started with a pre-placement talk by Mr. Raj Kumar, representative of the company. This was followed by the Group Discussion round to check communication skills, etiquette of person, listening ability, convincing power and group leadership, the process was then proceeded by the individual Interview. Out of 17Short listed students 5 got selected inthe final Interview and got their offer Letter from the company. The selected candidates would start their career with the package of above 2.20 lacs PA. Quality, talent of the students and the modern facilities provided to the students by the College Management were appreciated by the company. Principal Dr. H.S. Sandhu congratulated the selected students and motivated them to perform best to their abilities during job . He also stressed on the need of bridging the gap between industrial requirements and academic curriculum. He commented that fully geared up Proactive College Career Development Centre is all set to organize such Placements Drive within the regular short intervals enabling the students to know and understand the requirements of Corporates and accordingly prepare them for the future. At this Occasion Head-Corporate Relations &Placements S. Paramjit Singh Makkar also assured 100% Quality Placements of outgoing Batch of the college this year. In the meantime, Aditya Birla Company-Birla Sun Life also conducted the Interactive session with MBA students on“Present Scenario and Future Prospective in Insurance Sector”. The Resource Person Mr. Tajinder Pal Singh shared his valuable thoughts on the bright career options in Insurance and Banking Sector.
