Workshop on Nail Art Organized by BBK DAV Dept. of Cosmetology

Amritsar, Aug. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A one day workshop on ‘Nail Art’ was organized in BBK DAV College for Women by the Cosmetology Department under the guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra. Around 200 students from different departments participated in the workshop and learnt new techniques and benefits of ‘Nail Art’ ‘Add On’ course in Cosmetology. The aim of the workshop was to spread awareness about the career in Cosmetology. It highlighted the importance of achieving personal wellness by learning about personal and professional body care and grooming. Another aim was to enable the students of Cosmetology to study, practice and achieve competencies in personal and professional grooming practices. Mrs. Devika, Convener of the Workshop highlighted the role of cosmetology related business in society and the potential for setting up ones own business. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra encouraged and motivated students to join ‘ADD On’ Course Cosmetology in large numbers. At the end, a large number of students got themselves registered for ‘ADD ON’ Course in Cosmetology. Seeing the huge response of the students, the cosmetology department is planning to hold another Work-Shop on Hair and Beauty Care’ in future.
