New Delhi, Aug. 25 (Amrit Lal Manan) – The 69th Independence Day was celebrated at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Karol Bagh with patriotic fervor. After the scintillating Flag Hoisting Ceremony by S. MohinderPal Singh Chadda Sr.Vice President DSGMC, S. Satpal Singh, Vice President DSGMC, S.Paramjit Singh Rana,Chairman-Dharam Prachar Committee DSGMC, K.S.Vohra,the School Principal & Other dignitaries, the students of the three segments showcased a cultural bonanza. The student who had won the I & II position at State & District Level in Senior & Junior Inter School Punjab Declamation Competitions were also honored by the distinguished guests.
The event commemorated the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters during the movement of freedom struggle. Chaddha talked about the unsung martyrs & urged the student to become the worthy citizens of the country. Satpal Singh fondly remembered the freedom fighter & focused on instilling patriotic values. The Chariman –Dharam Prachar Committee–DSGMC- S. Paramjit Singh Rana Ji in most vibrant speech shared the role of Sikh Martyrs in the freedom struggle of our country. The School Principal S. K.S. Vohra extended his heartiest felicitations to all on the occasion.
