Shoe erased political career of two, broom will sweep the system- Jarnail Singh

Amritsar, 21 April (Punjab Post Bureau)- “The shoe throwing incident at Home Minister P Chidambaram in 2009 served to erase the political career of both accused in 1984 Anti –Sikh riots -Jagish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar of congress, now it is with the broom that we shall sweep the corrupted and unjust system of politics”, stated, Jarnail Singh who had thrown a shoe at the home minister for ignoring his question on justice to riot victims in a press conference in Delhi in April 2009 . Jarnail said this at a press conference of Aam Aadmi Party  in Amritsar today. Jarnail who is the lok sabha candidate from Delhi West on the AAP ticket here for canvassing for AAP’s Dr Daljit Singh, a noted eye surgeon in Amritsar while  addressing mediapersons along with Dr Ravijit Singh son of Dr Daljit Singh and Kultar Singh grand nephew of Late Presidnet Giani Jail Singh, said the 1984 riots issue is not an election issue but  a fight for justice for killing innocents. Home Minister Chidambaran was brimming with glee when he said to a TV channel that his friend Tytler was exonerated as an accused for riots, which was a slap on the face of  innocents who suffered.  The very next day the names of both accused were deleted from list of congress candidates, after the shoe throwing episode. “India is facing the worst time with mainly three “Cs”- the plague of Corruption, Criminalization of politics and Communalism. We all have to fight this system instead of blaming the governments. The representatives are ours because we make the wrong choices”, he added. Praising AAP’s national convernor Arvind Kejriwal, Jarnail said in his 49 day government in Delhi he formed an SIT to look into anti sikh riots, while Akalis merely made it an election issue and even the SGPC did nothing.” AAP didn’t want a government that rested on crutches and compromises, which was the reason for its resignation. He further added that Congress’s Capt Amarinder Singh’s clean chit to riot accused Tytler has rubbed salt into the wounds of sikh community and we shall never forgive him. “All these parties are mainly interested in grabbing power and the Akalis-BJP has  unleashed a reign of terror in Punjab . Punjab is thus facing “double anti-incumbency” with Dr Manmohan Singh’s ‘Ghutala sarkar’ (tainted scamster government) at center and the Akali-BJP’s ‘goonda sarkar’ (government of hooligans) in the state. “Today BJP’s Jaitely has rasied his hackles against making a Lokpal and had taken up as lawyer for the company that caused Bhopal Gas tragedy, what do you expect from such candidates.” To a query Jarnail  said AAP has bright chances to grab 10 MP seats in Punjab out of 13. To another query if AAP was B-team of Congress, Jarnail replied that had that been the case Kumar Vishwas would not be fighting Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. “Punjab is brimming with drugs and people beg us to save their progeny who were being supplied drugs in cahoots with politicians. Where Sikhs were saviors when Afghans attacked our daughters are being openly slapped by policemen, a father who takes up for his daughter is shot by a politician. The scenario in Punjab is horrendous. Meanwhile AAP’s Dr Daljit Singh canvassed with door to door meeting in areas of  Verka , suburb, Ghee mandi and railway station from early morning.
