Workshop on moral education training for teachers held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, Jan 19 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Under the aegis of APP Sabha, Delhi , APP UP Sabha , Punjab in collaboration with  Arya Yuva Samaj, Punjab and the benediction of Arya Ratna Sh. Punam Suri Ji, President DAV CMC, New Delhi and Regional Director Punjab Zone A ,Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Ji,  a two day workshop on Moral  Education  Training “ for teachers was inaugurated on 19th January’2016 at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar. Honourable Sh. Satya Pal Arya Ji, an eminent Arya Samaj and Secretary DAV, CMC, New Delhi was the Chief Guest for the day. Dr. Vageesh, a distinguished Sanskrit scholar, & intellectual, Regional Director, Punjab Zone A, Dr(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, President APP UP Sabha, Punjab,  Principal Sh. Ajay Beri, Principal  Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Ms. Neena Batra, Ms. Simmi, Principal  Ms. Kusum, LMC members and prominent members of Arya Samaj were among the other dignitaries present.  Before the commencement of the workshop a sacred Havan was performed to invoke the blessings of Almighty. As many as 300 teachers of the school attended the Havan ceremony and the workshop. The whole atmosphere echoed with the chanting of  the holy mantras and Vedic verses, giving a pious initiation to the day. After the Havan, the teachers proceeded to the Urvi Auditorium for the workshop. Eminent Vedic scholars Dr. Vageesh and Dr. Rajinder Vidya Alankar were the distinguished speakers for the two day workshop. The workshop commenced with the lighting of the lamp and floral welcome by the Principal. Regional Director, Punjab Zone A, formally welcomed all the guests present. She said that moral education is the foundation of true knowledge and we must try to lead the path synchronising the values which help in self control and proper mind set. She also authenticated that teachers are the best source to impart moral value in children, which are the need of the hour in present scenario. The workshop aimed at imbibing moral values among teachers as well as students. These values are a reflection of spirituality and good character which when followed help in smooth conduct, well being and prosperity of the society. The students of the school presented a welcome song and mesmerised the audience by   singing divine Bhajans.

            Dr. Vageesh, who has conducted more than 1500 workshops at the National and International Level addressed the teachers on the truth of the cosmic and universal power governing this world. He added that the negative thoughts should not overpower the positive ones. He emphasised the role of a teacher in imparting values among the students which in turn will lead to the building of a peaceful society. The teachers were overwhelmed with his effective, enriching & enlighting speech. The workshop was an interactive one and the teachers of the school enthusiastically participated in it. The facilitator provided   room to all the curious and inquisitive participants who were very eager to enrich themselves and gain as much as they could from the illustrious scholar. The reversed Chief Guest Sh. Satya Pal Arya Ji appreciated the students of the school for their keen involvement in daily Havana at school which imbibes in them the feeling of spirituality, prosperity and removes negativity. He also motivated the teachers to be a part of Yagya ceremony daily and tread the path shown by Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school, thanked the eminent guests for gracing the occasion and blessing the teachers. She assured that such moral teaching will always be a part of the curriculum of the school so that the students always lead a simple & rightful life.
