Amritsar, July (Punjab Post Bureau) – Cricketers Neelam Bisht & Priyanka Malik of BBK DAV College for Women won championship in Bangladesh Premier League held at Mirpur, Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Association awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50000/- each to both players. Eight cricket players of the college, Priyanka Malik, Neelam Bisht, Bharti Bawa, Rekha, Komalpreet Kaur, Kamini Sharma, Anisha Sharma and Amarpal Kaur won Senior State Championship held at Moga by defeating Ludhiana, Moga and Chandigarh teams. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
