DAV Public Shines in State Level Swimming Championship  

Amritsar, July (Punjab Post Bureau) – In Sub – junior Punjab State Swimming Championship held at Mohali recently, the students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar bagged one Gold , one Silver and three Bronze Medals. The Championship was organised by Punjab State Swimming Association. Raksham Marwaha of Std V bagged Gold  medal in U – 10 (Boys) 50 mts. Breast Stroke and Bronze Medal in 20 mts. Individual Medley. Priyanka Sharma of Std IV bagged silver Medal in U  – 10 (girls) 50 mts. Breast stroke , Bronze Medal  in 50 mts. Butterfly and Bronze medal in 50 mts. Back stroke. In another event, Junior Punjab State Swimming Championship held at Sangrur, the school proved its mettle by winning three silver medals. The Championship was organised by Pb. State Swimming Association. Drishti Mahindru of Std X bagged Silver Medal in U – 17 (girls),  200 mts. in  Back stroke , Saksham Sharma of Std IX  bagged Silver Medal in U – 17 (Boys) Water Polo and  Abhiraj Mehra of Std XII also bagged Silver Medal in U – 19 (Boys) Water Polo.

Regional Director , Punjab Zone –A  Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh  Kumar Principal  DAV College Amritsar congratulated the winners for their fabulous performance. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school was happy at the performance of the students. She advised them to excel in their field of choice by putting  in their best.
