Prestigious NBA Accreditation for Global Institute’s Engineering Program

Amritsar, Aug. 8 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) granted approval to the Department of Management and Emerging Technologies of Global institutes Amritsar (GIA), for its Engineering Program. Expressing delight over the prestigious accreditation by NBA,GIA’s Chairman Dr. B S Chandi and Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singhstatedin a press release,that it was a feather in the cap of GIA whose facilities, faculty, teaching procedures and quality of academic excellence impacted the National selection body. Giving due credit to students, the GIA Authorities said –“It’s eventually the students who bring prestige to an institute with their learning, absorption and subsequent results. The GIA has produced some of the best results by students and its faculty.”And added –“Students in NBA accredited Institutions, would be assuredto receive education of high academic quality with professional relevance, wherein therequirements of corporate world are thoroughly integrated into its programmes, activities and processes”.

The NBA Accreditation gives global and transnational recognition to degrees issued by ‘Global Institute of Management and Emerging Technologies’ (GIMET) asan additional edge to students in the competitive international scenario. This would mean enhanced opportunities in job placements and career choices in the country and abroad. The accreditation would also attract additional funding for research activities by various bodies including– The DST, HRD Ministry, UGC and the World Bank. GIA’s Vice Chairman explained that the NBA accreditation also acts like a catalyst for International accreditations wherein, NBAaccreditation aligns the Institution’s systems and procedures with the ‘mission and vision’ of the Institute, that automatically prepares it with the essential prerequisites for international accreditations.

Director of the institute Dr. Rajesh Goel congratulated the staff, students and parents for this coveted achievement. He stated –“NBA Accreditation would attract more top-of-the-line Indian and multinational companies for student placements. Besides which, it will create challenging academic environment in the Institution,that contributes to the social and economic development of the country, by producing high quality technical manpower.”
