DAV Public School Celebrates Independence Day with Fervour

Amritsar, Aug. 15 (Punjab Post Buereau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road celebrated Independence Day with great fervour. The students paid their reverence to the great freedom fighters who laid down their lives to attain independence. The students of the school sang patriotic songs, recited poem and also staged a role play highlighting the social concerns like corruption , poverty,  reservation, child labour etc. faced by free India. The whole atmosphere echoed with the slogan ‘Vande Mataram’ which roused patriotic passion among the students. A colourful and vibrant dance anointing Mother India was also presented by  the students.

Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Manager of the school sent their best wishes on this occasion and advised the students to play an active role in uprooting corruption and taking the country to new horizon. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that students need to understand the true meaning of independence and should work selflessly to bring laurels for the country.
