BBK DAV College Women and Khalsa College wins GNDU Overall Zonal Youth Festival Championship

Amritsar, October 9 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Zonal Youth Festival of A Zone  was concluded here today in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University. As many as 500 students-artists from 14 affiliated Colleges of Amritsar district participated in 34 items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary & Fine Arts. In A division BBK DAV Coll. for women, Amritsar and Khalsa College, Amritsar both won the Overall Championship of the A-Zone Youth Festival while Guru Nanak Dev University Campus, Amritsar remained Runners-Up and DAV College, Amritsar finished third.

In B division Shahzada Nand College, Amritsar won the Overall Championship of the A-Zone Youth Festival while SDSPM College for Women, Rayya remained Runners-Up and Trai Shatabdi GGS College, Amritsar finished third.    Ms. Paramjit Kaur Landran, Chairperson, Punjab State Women Commission, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest of the evening. Mrs. Kiranpreet Kaur Dhaami, Member of Punjab State Women Commission and Principal, SGHP School, Hoshiarpur was the Guest of Honor.  Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director, Youth Welfare Department welcomed the chief guest and others. She gave details of the achievements of Youth Welfare Department. Chief Guest also distributed trophies to the winners.  Ms. Paramjit Kaur, Mrs.Dhaami also shared their experiences with the student artists
