BBK DAV College Lifts Gndu Inter-College Table Tennis Championship

Amritsar, October 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Table Tennis team of BBK DAV College for Women won the GNDU Inter-College Table Tennis Championship for 44^th time held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College team gave a splendid show by defeating GNDU Campus, KMV College, Jalandhar and RRMK College, Pathankot. College players Ms. Suprit Sidhu, Ms. Bharti Salwan & Lovepreet Kaur won the final match by beating GNDU Campus. Two players i.e. Ms. Suprit Sidhu and Ms. Jasmine Kaur Taak have been selected for Intervarsity Table Tennis Championship which is going to be held at Delhi in January 2017. Other team members are Aparna, Bharti Salwan and Lovepreet Kaur.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports.  Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education & Table Tennis Coach Mr. Madan Lal Sharma & Mr. Ashok Kumar, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
