Amritsar, October 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public school, Lawrence Road observed United Nation Day. United Nations Day is celebrated worldwide in honour of the inter governmental organisations promoting human rights, social progress and world peace. This year’s United Nation Day will be used to highlight concrete actions people can take to help achieve the sustainable development goals. The students of the school highlighted about the aims and achievements of the United Nations. They emphasised that this day reminds about acknowledging & accepting cultural diversity whole heartedly and propels towards better future for all on a healthy planet.
Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. Neelam Kamra and Manager of the School, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, appreciated the efforts of the students for observing such days and urged that such organisations always work for the welfare of the people and to create a better world. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school addressed the students that this organisation works on different projects like fighting against terrorism, saving world’s resources, literacy programmes & many others. She appealed that all the forces of humanity must be mobilized to ensure the stability and permanence of this great organisation.
