Backstabber Captain Amarinder cannot be trusted by farming community – Sukhbir Badal

Amritsar, November 4 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today castigated Congress party in the strongest terms for always ignoring the interests of Punjab and meting out step motherly treatment to the state. He said that the Congress’ history is replete with the instances of discrimination against Punjab whereas the truth is that Punjab has always been in the forefront of defending the nation as well as contributing to its economy.

Addressing a gigantic gathering here on the occasion of inaugurating a Sewa Kendar , the Deputy Chief Minister said that the same Captain Amarinder Singh who is now so loudly professing the cause of the farmers and indulging in chest thumping on the issue had levied hefty power bills during his tenure and also unleashed untold atrocities upon them. S. Badal further said that this is the same Congress party which violated the sanctity of Sri Darbar Sahib by attacking it with tanks so how can its aristocratic leader Captain Amarinder Singh be trusted to safeguard the interests of Punjab.

Disclosing more, the Deputy Chief Minister said that today is a red letter day in the history of Amritsar as a total of 113 Sewa Kendars have begun operations from today which would lead to the people availing government services in a corruption free and hassle free manner. He also divulged that 919 rural Sewa Kendars have started functioning from today.

Making a pitch for development, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the SAD-BJP government has always stood for holistic development of the state as it is an article of faith with it. He also divulged that various pro-people initiatives the state government  such as making Punjab power surplus,  free power to the farming sector, distribution of bicycles to the school going girls under Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme, free power upto 200 units to the every SC household, Shagan scheme, health insurance for farmers and traders, Atta -Dal scheme,  exceptional road infrastructure and ease of doing business have acted as game changers in transforming the lives of the people of all sections in the state. He also said that only the SAD-BJP government has the interests of all sections of the society at heart which is quite evident from the way it put Punjab on the world map.
