BBK DAV Lifts Runners-Up Position in Gndu Inter-College Kabbadi Circle Style Championship

Amritsar Nov. 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Kabbadi Circle Style team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar got a runners-up position in GNDU Inter-College Kabbadi Circle Style Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. College team gave a splendid show by defeating HMV College, Jalandhar & DIPS College, Dhilwan, Jalandhar. Ms. Maninder Kaur, Navroop Kaur, Shinderpal Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Rupinder Kaur, Komal Rani, Aarti, Priya Devi, Navneet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur & Monika Devi participated in the championship. Four players Ms. Maninder Kaur, Navroop Kaur, Shinderpal Kaur & Charanjit Kaur of the college were selected for All India Intervarsity Championship which is going to be held at Jind, Haryana in November 2016.

Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chariman, Local Managing Committee, Dr. Sarvjit Brar, wife of Hon’ble Dr. A.S. Brar, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar & Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education & Kabbadi Coach Mr. Ram Singh, along with other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
