An Extension lecture on “Sino – India Relations ‘organized at DAV College

Amritsar, August 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – An extension lecture on the topic “Sino – India Relations ‘was organized by the Department of Political Science, DAV College Amritsar. Dr Rajesh Kumar, College Principal gave floral welcome to the guest. Dr Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Social Sciences, GNDU was the resource person during the event.

While speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar highlighted the contentious issues between Indian and China. He opined that Sino- India Relation has become quite debatable these days and the students must be well aware of the problems and solutions to those problems which confront the healthy relations between India and China.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Surinder Kumar, Head, Department of Political sciences, and DAV College pointed towards the bilateral relations between the two countries and the implications of the Sino- India relations for the international politics.

            Resource Person, Dr Rajesh Kumar addressed the students and gave PowerPoint presentation on the topic. He identified various contentious issues like the border issues, China’s stand on Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, Tibet Issue, Trade relations between India and China, Incursions in Ladakh and recently in DOKLAM. He also suggested possible solutions to these issues from political economy perspective. He also stressed upon the need of healthy and Cooperative relations between the two countries.

On this occasion, Prof MR Chopra, Prof RK Kaushal (both former HOD’S), Prof G.S Sidhu, Prof Rajdawinder  Kaur Randhawa, Dr Gaurav Sharma, Dr BB Yadav and Prof BS Bal were also present.
