University Business School (UBS) Conducted “Disha”

Amritsar, August 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – University Business School (UBS) conducted “ DISHA”- a two-day  Management Development Programme  for the dealers of Indian Oil Corporation in continuation of the series of Management Development Programmes started from 2016 to carry forward the vision of worthy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar with regard to Industry-Academic Interface. Prof. B.S. Mann, Director of the Programme and Dr. Jasveen Kaur, Head, University Business School welcomed the delegates from Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts of Punjab for 5th Management Development Programme. The faculty of University Business School mentored the dealers to equip them with latest management tools and practices. The Indian Oil officials and the participants appreciated the efforts done by the University Business School and assured that this initiative will help them to improve their businesses. Prof. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Chief -Guest of valedictory session stressed upon the dealers to engage themselves in Social Responsibility towards customers and other stakeholders. He said that the dealers should plant trees in the vacant area of their premises to contribute for cleaner environment. Earlier also, University Business School had successfully conducted four Management Development Programmes for the dealers of Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr and Hoshiarpur districts. Dr. Vikram Sandhu, Organizing Secretary of Management Development Programme said that all these programmes were conducted successfully and more programmes are planned in future for the dealers of states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. He also informed that the Indian Oil Corporation has shown interest to collaborate with University Business School for many social and academic activities in future.
